Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in the Workplace

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that is also known as the silent killer because it is the leading cause of poison-related illnesses and fatalities around the world. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 400 people die, and another 4,000 are hospitalized, because of unintentional carbon monoxide poisoning in the United States. Unfortunately, certain workers are at an increased risk of carbon monoxide exposure.
